Biography:
Priyanka Chopra was born to Ashok Chopra and Madhu Akhauri, in Jamshedpur, Jharkhand. Her parents are physicians by profession. Though she was born in Jamshedpur she spent her childhood days in various places which include Bareilly, Uttar Pradesh; Newton, Massachusetts; and Cedar Rapids, Iowa.

She also has a brother, Siddharth, who is seven years younger to her.

The frequent re-locations took place as her father was a physician in the Indian Army. She subsequently re-located to the U.S. where she studied in Newton South High School in Newton, Massachusetts and then in John F. Kennedy High School in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. She returned to India and did her high school at Army School in Bareilly.

She began college at Jai Hind College in Mumbai but left after winning the Miss World pageant.

Being a North India she started her career in South Film Industry. In 2002 she starred in a Tamil film Tamhizhan opposite Vijay. She couldn't make her presence felt in this film.

She appeared in Bollywood for the first time in Sunny Deol's The Hero: Love Story Of A Spy. Even her debut film in Bollywood didn' work for her.

She made a mark in Bollywood with her negative role in Aitraaz (2003). Since then there was no looking back for her. She was noticed by one and all in Aitraaz. After this she had loads of films in her kitty which includes Plan, kismet, Blackmail, Karam, Waqt, Bluffmaster, and many more. It was Raksh Roshan's Krrish which again brought her to the limelight.

Recently she won the National Film Award for Best Actress for her role in Fashion (2008).

Besides, Bollywood she was also the face of the Television Industry. She hosted Khatron Ke Khiladi Level 3 in Colors.

She is one actress in Bollywood who has maximum big films in her kitty as off know. Her much awaited big budget film Don 2 is yet to release. Apart from this film she is presently filming for Anurag Basu's Barfee and Karan Johar's Agneepath along with Kunal Kohli's Untitled film. While, Krrish 2 is yet to go on floors.
Personal Life:
She has been often linked up with the chocolate boy Shahid Kapoor. There love game started when she was working with Shahid Kapoor in Kaminey. Though there stock reply has always been "We are just good friends".  It's heard that currently they both are not in talking terms and has eventually broke up.
Controversy:
Priyanka fell in major controversy when Income Tax officers, who went to raid Priyanka Chopra's home at 7.30 am, were greeted by Shahid Kapoor clad only in his shorts

"In My City" is the first song released by Indian recording artist and actress Priyanka Chopra, featuring American rapper will.i.am. The song was produced by RedOne, Rush and Brian Kennedy, and was co-written by Ester Dean, who provides additional vocals. The song was released on 14 September 2012 from Chopra's untitled debut studio album. The demo version of "In My City" was played by will.i.am to Chopra, who was impressed with the track and decided to record it.

Priyanka's second album named 'Exotic' has also released. After getting a glimpse of the teasers, the release of 'Exotic', was eagerly awaited by the audience across the nation.
The album was launched by Universal Music India at an event in Mumbai, where the music video was premiered. Pitbull was not able to attend the event, though he sent a special recorded message. Following the CD launch, Priyanka taught everyone the 'Exotic' step. Priyanka was very excited about the release. Accompanying her at the grand launch, were her grandmother, mother and brother.
