Actress Sangeeta Ghosh was born on August 18, 1976 in Kolkata. At a very small age of 10, she started acting with serial called Hum Hindustani. She has done a lot of modeling for famous brands like Donear Suitings and Nirma. She completd her studies in the year 1990 and after that she had worked in many serials like Kurukshetra, Adhikaar, Ajeeb Dastan and Daraar. Mehendi Tere Naam Ki and Des Mein Niklla Hoga Chand were her popular tv serials. She is a trained Bharatnatyam dancer.

When asked about her experience of working with Ruslaan she said, "Oh, it's very nice. Ruslaan has no tantrums at all. He's a very sweet boy. He comes in the morning, gets ready and wants to do rehearsals. He is very interested in what is doing, which is very good. He may have had a certain perception, but when we started working, everything was perfect. We discuss work more than anything else, but that doesn't mean we don't have fun on the sets".

Sangeeta Ghosh got married to Rajvi Shailendra Singh Rathore, a Businessman and a Polo player who belongs to royalty in Rajasthan. They met at a riding school and he was her instructor. The horse that Sangeeta was training on wouldn't move, so he told that if she take his name the horse would start moving. They fell in love and when he came to Mumbai, he asked her to marry him. He said, 'I don't want to have an affair with you. I've liked you and I'm in love with you, so what do you think about getting married to me?' Sangeeta said, "The best thing about him is that he makes me laugh a lot he respects my family that way I do mine and I love him. So I decided to get married. Distance at times makes your heart grow fonder."

Sangeetha is an south Indian film actress. Sangeetha was born in Chennai, India to Arvind and Bhanumathy. Her grandfather, K. R. Balan, is a prominent film producers, who had produced more than 20 Tamil films. Also her father had produced several films.
Sangeetha is a professional Bharatanatyam dancer as she had learned Bharatanatyam during her school days.
She got married to film playback Krish on the 1st of February 2009 at Thiruvannamalai. The marriage was well attended by a few film personalities like Jeeva, Divyadarshini(DD), Laxmi Rai, Mumtaz etc. It was quite a simple marriage. There were gossips that this marriage was a secret marriage.

Sangeeta started her acting career in mid 90's, pairing with Telugu comedian Ali and she performed primarily in low budget films until her role alongside Ravi Teja in Khadgam in Telugu. Later she acted with Vikram, Surya Sivakumar and Laila in the National Award winning Pithamagan. Later, she appeared in the moderate hit Uyir as a possessive woman wanting her brother in law.
Sangeeta currently acted opposite Madhavan, in Evano Oruvan, produced by Abbas Burmawalla and Mustan Burmawalla. She also played a minuscule role in Kaalai. Her last film in Tamil before marriage was Dhanam which won her lots of rave reviews.
She is a judge on Vijay TV's hit show Jodi No.1, Jodi No.1 Season Two and Jodi No.1 Season Three where the participants are television artistes . She was one of the three judges along with Silambarasan and Sundaram in Jodi No.1 Season Two and with S.J.Suryaah and Sundaram in Jodi No.1 and with Jeeva and Aishwarya Dhanush in Jodi No.1 Season Three.
She was a guest judge during the finals of Vasantham Central's Indian dance competition "Dhool" held in Singapore on 2008.
