Hansika is an Indian actress and a former child artist has appeared in television as well as films. She made a noticeable debut as an actress in Aap Ka Suroor opposite singer/actor Himesh Reshammiya.

Biography:
Hansika was born to a Sindhi speaking family in Bombay, India. Her dad, Pradeep, is a businessman, while her mom, Mona, is a Dermatologist. She has an elder brother, Prashant. She is a student in Podar Internation School.
As a child artist she has appeared in many TV serials, for example 'Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thee', 'Hum 2 Hai Na', 'Desh Me Nikla Hoga Chand', 'Shakalaka Boom Boom', 'Celebrity Fame Gurukool', and 'Tum Bin'.
She was accordingly signed by for 'Yahoo' with herself and Govinda. Unfortunately, this movie was shelved.
Hansika made her debut in a lead role in Puri Jagannadh's Telugu film, Desamuduru, starring opposite Allu Arjun.
In Bollywood Hansika made her debut with Himesh Reshammiya in Aap Kaa Surroor ? The Real Luv Story. The film was a moderate hit.
In Bollywood Hansika's last film was Money Hai Toh Honey Hai (2008). In the mean while she has been doing well in the South industry.

In 2011,she started her career in Tamil with the film Mappillai (2011),after which she appeared in several critically and commercially successful films like Engeyum Kaadhal (2011), Velayudham (2011) and Oru Kal Oru Kannadi (2012). These accomplishments have thus established her as a leading contemporary actress in Tamil Cinema. Recently she has acted in a Telugu film Oh My Friend.
She began her television career with a serial called Shakalaka Boom Boom, a story about a boy named Sanju and his magic pencil. Simultaneously, she also enacted a child role in the Indian serial Des Mein Nikla Hoga Chaand, for which she received the Favorite Child Award at the Star Parivaar Awards. She also appeared as one of the children in Koi Mil Gaya with Preity Zinta and Hrithik Roshan.
Hansika made her debut in a lead role in Puri Jagannadh`s Telugu film, Desamuduru, starring opposite Allu Arjun. The film was about a crime reporter who falls in love with a sanyasini, played by Hansika.
Hansika made her debut as a leading actress in Bollywood with Himesh Reshammiya in Aap Kaa Surroor – The Real Luv Story. She played the role of Himesh Reshammiya`s lover Ria. The film was released on 29 June 2007 and was a moderate hit. She will also appear in the Hindi film titled He: The Only One, where she will be essaying the role of a killer, hell-bent on taking revenge for her family.
Hansika made her Kannada debut in Bindaas with Puneet Rajkumar. The film was released on 15 February 2008. She paired with Jr. NTR in the film Kantri, which was released in May 2008. The film was a moderate hit. She made her Tamil film debut in the 2011 film Mappillai opposite Dhanush, following which her next Tamil film Engeyum Kadhal opposite Jayam Ravi released. She is currently working on two more Tamil projects Velayudham opposite Vijay and Oru Kal Oru Kannadi opposite Udhayanidhi Stalin.
She has appeared in many TV serials, for example 'Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thee', 'Hum 2 Hai Na', 'Desh Me Nikla Hoga Chand', 'Shakalaka Boom Boom', 'Celebrity Fame Gurukool', and 'Tum Bin' as a child artiste. She also appeared as such in several TV commercials (e.g. Pepsi, Samsung, Hyundai Santro TV, and Bournvita).
Her mom's client, none other than Juhi Chawla, noticed Hansika and recommended that she act in movies. She was accordingly signed by for 'Yahoo' with herself and Govinda. Unfortunately, this movie was shelved.
This did not stop Hansika from acting as she has now appeared in a total of 5 movies in Hindi, as well as several regional language movies (e.g. Desamuduru in Telugu, Sarvam in Tamil).
She speaks Hindi and Tulu fluently. She is involved in physical fitness and diet with Mickey Mehta. At the age of 16 she has three staff persons, as well as her mom, to manage her career.
